            In 1971, Lower County Realty Abstract Company was founded by, then State Senator Joseph A. Maressa, Sr., Esquire, with the mission of providing accurate and efficient settlement services to the real estate community in the "lower end” of Camden County.

            In 1983, Joseph A. Maressa, Jr., Esquire, joined the firm and expanded the services provided by Lower County Realty Abstract with an emphasis toward specialization in the new construction and commercial closing arena.  This mission proved to be a successful one and over time our client base grew at a rapid pace.  It wasn't long thereafter that Lower County Realty Abstract transformed itself into a regional player with a broad spectrum of title and settlement services.  As a result, we felt compelled to change our name to one commensurate with our expanded scope of services and geographically diverse client base.  It was at this time Lower County Realty Abstract became Title America Agency Corp.

            In a continual effort to develop our business, while building upon our reputation of accurate, courteous service, Title America Agency Corp began offering 1031 Exchange Services, Department of Community Affairs deposit escrow accounting, closing cost and HUD-1 analysis for real estate brokers and mortgage lenders, lot acquisition services for real estate developers and full service real estate processing.  Our unique “bundle of services” caught the attention of various national and regional builders and today we are proud to be the exclusive title company for three national homebuilders doing business in New Jersey, one of whom is the largest homebuilder in the United States.  Incident to our reputation as the “Builders” Title Company we are currently providing settlement services in over fifty residential communities throughout New Jersey.  In addition, we have conducted a multitude of closings for various developers of national pharmacies, banks, restaurants, shopping centers, offices complexes and various other commercial and industrial projects.

            As with our residential and commercial builder clientele, we are proud to provide title and settlement services to the State of New Jersey, two South Jersey hospitals as well as various counties and municipalities.  We have also developed a special expertise in bond closings and have insured many transactions in excess of fifty million dollars.

            We presently have a staff of twenty full time qualified professionals.  Those in key managerial positions have advanced degrees and each have at least twenty five years experience in the real estate industry.
